Joyce Randazzo, has been representing clients who have been injured due to negligence for over 30 years. Her practice focuses on personal injury and medical negligence.
Here are some recent results:
- $700,000: for a young man who fractured his ankle when he fell in a defect in the street caused by the negligence of a utility company that failed to back fill the area after excavating the street.
- $900,000: in a medical malpractice case where the emergency room doctors failed to perform a CT scan and diagnose a subdural hemorrhage in a 75-year-old man on blood thinners who fell at home resulting in a brain injury.
- $500,000: in a podiatric malpractice case where the podiatrist failed to properly diagnose and treat an infection in a 58-year-old man. As a result, a portion of this first responder’s foot was amputated.
- $240,000: for a young man with cerebral palsy who was confined to a wheelchair. He was being transported to school when his wheelchair toppled backward because it was not properly secured, nor was he properly supervised by the bus matron. He suffered a contusion to his spinal cord resulting in increased weakness in his extremities.
Ms. Randazzo is a member of the Bronx County Bar Association, where she has served on the Board of Directors. She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and Columbian Lawyers Association of Westchester.
She graduated from Hofstra University with a BA in English and earned her JD from the University of Bridgeport School of Law. She was admitted to the State Bar of New York in 1988.
When she is not advocating for her clients, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her beloved Norwich Terrier. She is also a member of the Norwich Terrier Club of America and has a special interest in promoting the health of the breed.
